Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian used a defiant tone when, in the UN General Assembly hall, he displayed photos of "children killed by bombs launched by the United States and Israel." Pezeshkian, speaking for the first time since Washington and Israel unleashed all-out war against his country, also displayed a picture of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed in an Israeli-American raid in late February.
“Yesterday, Trump declared that we are terrorists, we are victims of terrorism,” Pezeshkian said. “The atomic and nuclear bombs are in the hands of the Israeli regime, but the inspectors (from the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA) are asked to come to Iran,” he insisted. “Israel kills, but it is Iran that is sanctioned.
