With 262 votes in favor and 159 against, the U.S. Congress approved, for the first time under President Donald Trump, a package of sanctions against Russia. The Kremlin's comment was clear and sharp, immediately branding the U.S. sanctions a hostile action that will make peace in Ukraine more difficult.

President Zelensky's comment, on the contrary, was of the opposite nature: "The new sanctions will force Moscow to make peace."
On the ground, today we are witnessing an attack by Kiev on a refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl, despite the agreement that, according to Trump, both Moscow and Kiev were in favor of, for what has been defined as an energy truce.
Meanwhile, confirmation has arrived from Moscow of the arrest in absentia of journalist Zhanna Nemtsova, daughter of politician Boris Nemtsov, accused of organizing the activities of an undesirable organization.

Finally, again from Russia comes an accusation that the West promoted falsifications regarding the Bucha massacre.
