Farewell to Sandro Mazzola, Amadeus remembers him: "If I became an Inter fan, it's also thanks to him."

(Adnkronos) – “I have wonderful memories of Sandro Mazzola. If I became an Inter fan, it's also thanks to him.” Amadeus, a well-known Inter fan, told Adnkronos this, remembering Sandro Mazzola, the great Inter champion who passed away today at the age of 83. “My aunt Enza, a huge fan, used to take me to the stadium to see the Grande Inter team,” the host recalls. “It was the late 1960s and I was very young.” 

Memory takes Amadeus back to his childhood, when his love for the Nerazzurri was born: “I watched Mazzola and Facchetti's Inter and was fascinated,” he says. “Mazzola had incredible talent, strength, dribbling, and speed.”

Watching that Inter team "my passion exploded. I had the pleasure of knowing him over the years, and he will forever remain in Inter's history," Amadeus concludes.
