The Italian National Tennis Team's transplant recipients demonstrate how rebirth can be achieved thanks to someone else's "yes" to donation, expressed while still alive. Donation Day unites amateur players and transplant recipients: they are all unique stories, made up of complex journeys requiring adaptation to illness and sacrifice. Receiving an organ means carrying those who are no longer with us along our journey, allowing them to experience the same emotions we do.
Roberta Borrelli, national councilor of the National Association of Hemodialysis Patients (ANED), recalled this during the presentation at the Rome Film Festival of "Vite in Campo," a documentary film born from an idea by Donatella Romani and Roberto Amato with Roberto Farnesi and Tathiana Garbin, made possible by the unconditional contribution of Chiesi Italia.
