"Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a highly effective tool for HIV prevention, but unfortunately it faces several challenges: it's not widely used because it's poorly understood. This is compounded by a low perception of HIV risk, especially among the general population." These were the words of Davide Moschese, medical director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Luigi Sacco Hospital, University of Milan, at the meeting "Beyond Stigma: Health, Prevention, and Inclusion," held in Verona. The results of the survey conducted as part of the "Tackle HIV 2026 Italy" campaign, conducted online on behalf of ViiV Healthcare in collaboration with the Terrence Higgins Trust, were presented.
