(Adnkronos) – "The durability of a reputation depends on how solidly it has been built over time: a solid structure certainly withstands a single adverse event better when, in the face of it, it is able to communicate effectively. This is true in sports, institutional communications, and politics." These are the words of Paolo Grasso, Chief of Staff of the Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Senator
Matteo Salvini, attending today in Rome the event organized to present the nineteenth issue of The Corporate Communication Magazine, titled "Sport and Communication: A New Paradigm for Corporate Reputation," produced by the International Corporate Communication Hub Observatory.
In support of his thesis, he then states: “We are increasingly witnessing phenomena in which even a single episode can compromise a reputation built over time, especially in a world dominated by social media.
There is no longer a time gap between the occurrence of the event, its disclosure and the effect it has on all those who become aware of it,” he says.
So, how should we behave in these cases? "The key is probably to respond promptly," he says. "Obviously, it's not about providing an immediate response without first having carefully thought it through, but rather trying to understand the causes quickly.
It is also necessary to be clear: the response must not be opaque, but must explain the reasons why the event occurred and what remedies you intend to implement,” he concludes.
