(Adnkronos) – From music to acting. Tredici Pietro becomes an actor: the young singer-songwriter will play father Gianni Morandi in the Rai TV film about Lucio Dalla, directed by Ambrogio Lo Giudice, who co-wrote the screenplay with Stefano Sardo. 'Repubblica Bologna' reports. Valentino Aquilano will lend voice and body to the great Dalla—as Adnkronos reported in July.
The choice of the protagonist was the result of a long series of auditions and rewards an artist who has dedicated his professional life to Dalla's music: born in Puglia and adopted in Abruzzo, he has been singing Dalla since he was a child and has been developing his vast repertoire with the tribute band 'Ciao Lucio' for years.
The natural physical and vocal resemblance, combined with the careful arrangements and the ability to interweave music, stories, and anecdotes, has created over the years a show capable of capturing the energy, poetry, and irony of the Bolognese artist. This heritage, Aquilano will now bring to the screen, in a role that seems tailor-made for him.
In addition to touring Italy with his group, Aquilano was a featured guest on the program 'Like a Star' on Nove, hosted by Amadeus, where contestants were asked to impersonate their idol. The cast also included Giovanna Mezzogiorno, who played Dalla's mother, and Stefano Pesce, who played the poet Roberto Roversi. With the latter, the celebrated Lucio produced three acclaimed albums: 'Il giorno aveva cinque teste' (1973), 'Anidride solforosa' (1975), and 'Automobili' (1976).
