Three sport and inclusion initiatives involving communities, institutions and businesses

Three distinct events demonstrate how sport can be a catalyst for integration: the grand final at Milanello of the project promoted by BMW and Insuperabili, the pink sailing race with Nave Italia in Manfredonia, and the opening of the LibHERO Camp in Trentola Ducenta, a confiscated property returned to the community.

Sport has proven to be a powerful tool for building relationships, breaking down barriers, and strengthening ties between businesses, institutions, and local communities. This principle has translated into concrete action in three recent initiatives: a national program promoted by concessionaires and foundations that concluded with a finale in Milanello; a solidarity regatta in the Gulf of Manfredonia featuring the brigantine Italy shipand the inauguration of a sports village on a property confiscated from criminals in Trentola Ducenta.

In all three cases the stated objective was to promote social inclusion and participation through sports practices.

The national project promoted by BMW and Insuperabili dealers concluded at Milanello.

The journey that began in 2026 and developed over many territorial stages found its final moment at the Sports Centre MilanelloThe initiative, part of the corporate social responsibility program of BMW ItalyIt involved the national network of dealers with 15 stops spread throughout Italy, from Catanzaro to Udine, passing through Florence, Turin, Milan, Rome, Verona and Syracuse.

The format was based on a stable collaboration with UnsurpassableAn organization that uses football as an educational and inclusion tool for people with disabilities; founded in Turin, Insuperabili now has multiple locations and hundreds of athletes.

Dealer involvement and final dynamics

A distinctive element of the project was the active role of the dealers: not simply sponsors, but direct participants who engaged their employees in sporting and training activities.

The Milanello final featured the first official Insuperabili team and a representative team composed of athletes and collaborators of local dealerships. This model emphasized the integration between the corporate world and local sports realitiesencouraging human and professional exchanges and enhancing the local dimension of the initiative.

A pink sail to Manfredonia with Nave Italia and programs for vulnerable children.

A regatta with a strong civic focus took place in the Gulf of Manfredonia: the Veleggiata in Rosa (Pink Sailing) aimed to draw attention to issues such as respect for the individual, health prevention, and the fight against gender violence. The presence of the brigantine Italy shipof Marina Militaregave visibility to the event, also offering a symbolic space for the awards ceremony.

On-board workshops and involvement of children at the Giovanni XXIII hospital

Particularly significant was the human impact of participation: on board Italy ship 12 children and adolescents suffering from kidney and rheumatological diseases from the hospital have come up John XXIII from Bari, involved in creative workshops and musical activities aimed at promoting resilience and inclusion. The initiative was linked to a broader project promoted by a national association for people with rheumatic and rare diseases, which will visit numerous Italian ports along a voyage starting from Brindisi and also stopping in Manfredonia.

The regatta, which started from the tourist port Gargano MarinaIt unfolded along a coastal route and attracted many crews and guests eager to experience sailing. The event sought to combine the allure of the sea with civic engagement, engaging associations, institutions, and citizens in a day designed to raise awareness and inclusion.

LibHERO Camp in Trentola Ducenta: sports and social reuse of a confiscated property

The sports village was inaugurated in the Campania area LibHERO FieldA space of approximately 4.300 square meters created in Trentola Ducenta on the largest property confiscated from organized crime in the region. The project, the result of a local partnership, provides camps and activities for the entire community, with a particular focus on families and minors experiencing socioeconomic hardship. The stated goal is to transform the reuse of confiscated assets into concrete opportunities for social inclusion and growth.

Local partnerships and accessibility

Promoted by the Jambo Centre together with entities such as the Diocesan Caritas of AversaSports and Health Agencyil CSEN and CONI CasertaThe village aims to be a hub for free sports activities for young people and a place for intergenerational exchange. The project also provides free access to summer camps for some children in need and aims to strengthen civic participation through sport, considered a social prevention tool and promotion of the well-being collective.

In all three experiences the common thread remains the idea that the social sport It shouldn't just be a competition, but a tool for local regeneration: from corporate and association initiatives that converge in Milanello, to the seaside as a platform for inclusion in Manfredonia, to the tangible reclamation of spaces reclaimed from crime in Trentola Ducenta. These projects demonstrate that investing in sports and cultural activities can lead to greater cohesion and dedicated services for the most vulnerable.
