(Adnkronos) –
The judges' assignments for their respective artists were varied and diverse. Francesco Gabbani gave Giacomo Calò a mashup of two of Zucchero's best-known songs, "Diavolo In Me" and "X colpa di chi?"; to the Scraffs, Baustelle's 2008 rebellion anthem, "Charlie fa surf"; and to Teo Bok, a new addition to the team after winning the ballot between Giorgia's two Škoda X Passes, the funk and R&B of Stevie Wonder with his "I Wish."
Irama has entrusted his band Le Distanze with the legendary "New York, New York," Liza Minnelli's 1977 song written for Martin Scorsese's film of the same name. Lenanie continues her journey through great Italian songwriting with Ivano Fossati's "C'è Tempo." Patrizia, meanwhile, will lend her voice to "Unethical," a 2025 song by the young Canadian-Moroccan singer-songwriter Faouzia. Jake La Furia has chosen Radiohead's "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" for Alex Fontana, continuing his journey through the greats of Brit-pop; for Alìa, the challenging song by Marco Mengoni featuring Tom Walker, "Hola (I Say)"; and for Veronica, the global hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. Finally, Paola Iezzi chose Camilla for “As the World Caves In” by British-Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer Matt Maltese; for her young band Mad-Dog, the epochal song “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon & Garfunkel, as performed by the American alternative band The Lemonheads; and finally, for Manu, Tommaso Paradiso’s very recent hit “I Romantici.”
Plus, in today's Live Show, Thursday, October 29 – at 21:15 PM on Sky Uno and streaming on Now, always available on demand and viewable on Sky Go (and as always also free-to-air every Tuesday on TV8 and every Wednesday on Cielo) – Meek, the pop project of English singer, songwriter, and producer Georgia Meek, will arrive on the X Factor Arena stage: cheeky vamp pop, self-confessed glam-trash, anthems for outsiders who don't ask for permission, created by an artist with direct, ironic, cutting-edge writing who has so far amassed 70 million streams, hundreds of thousands of fans on social media, and 4 million views on YouTube.
