Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – Four family members were seriously injured when a balcony collapsed while visiting a property under renovation. The incident occurred this afternoon in Santa Maria la Carità, in the province of Naples. Carabinieri from the Sant'Antonio Abate station responded to a collapsed balcony on Via del Canneto, an unoccupied mezzanine floor apartment under renovation.
At the time, four people were present on the balcony: a father, son, daughter, and son-in-law. All suffered serious injuries; two were transported with critical conditions to the Ospedale del Mare and the Cardarelli hospitals in Naples, while two others are hospitalized at the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia. Surveys are underway and an investigation has been launched by the Carabinieri.
