Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – On 'Fuori dal Coro' hosted by Mario Giordano in prime time tonight on Retequattro, a letter written by Mario Roggero, the jeweler from Grinzane Cavour currently incarcerated in Bollate prison for killing two robbers in 2021, will be read. “I am Mario Roggero, and I am taking this opportunity kindly offered to me by Mario Giordano to send you these few lines.
I've been incarcerated in Bollate prison, here in Milan, for almost three months now," the letter reads, as anticipated by the broadcast. "Entering prison at over 72 years of age, after an intense and honest working life spanning over half a century, has been devastating for me, both psychologically and, above all, physically."
"Being confined within four walls, however, has introduced me to a world of people completely unknown to me. I've had the opportunity, forced to reflect on the events that have occurred, and I'm grasping entirely new and unimaginable aspects, which I'm gradually exploring," he concludes. "I don't want to go into too much detail, and we'll talk again later. Now I want to virtually embrace and thank the millions of Italians who have supported me and continue to support me with their love and more."
Warm greetings to everyone."
