(Adnkronos) – Firefighters are responding to the Milan Lambrate station on platform 10, where a young woman was struck by a high-speed train. Two vehicles from the Via Messina fire department, the 118 emergency service, and the railway police are on site to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Traffic is interrupted from platform 9 to platform 12.
According to the latest update at 7:30 PM, Trenitalia's website states that "traffic remains slow due to investigations by the judicial authorities following the accident involving a person in Milan's Lambrate station. High-speed, intercity, and regional trains may experience increased travel times of up to 60 minutes, route restrictions, and cancellations."
High-speed train currently stopped: FR 9544 Salerno (12:29) – Milan Central Station (18:50): passengers can also use the first available trains managed by Trenitalia Customer Service staff. Other trains may be subject to changes.
