(Adnkronos) – After three consecutive defeats in the first three league games, which led to the dismissal of Fabio Grosso, Fiorentina returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory in Venice, giving Paolo Vanoli the three points, making the perfect start to his second spell as Fiorentina coach. At the Stadio Penzo, the Venetians got off to a strong start, taking the lead in the 22nd minute through Akor Adams, but the visitors rallied thanks to hat-tricks from Franco Mastantuono (29th, 30th, and 84th minutes), and a goal from Mateo Pellegrino (66th minute).

In the 86th minute, the home side scored through Antoine Hainaut, making the score 4-2. Fiorentina climbed to three points in the standings, drawing level with Napoli, Lecce, and Torino in 12th place, while the Orange-Red-Greens remained stuck at zero points, tied with Genoa in last place.
