Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – After capping diesel and gasoline prices at service stations, Eni is also reducing utility bills by offering "a new contribution to Italian families as part of the Eni for Italy initiative," the company wrote in a statement. Starting October 1st, for customers who sign up for the offer by October 24th through Plenitude, the group will offer a 30% discount on electricity and gas bills compared to the main fixed-price offer with a price lock for two years, "while also keeping raw material prices unchanged and thus covering recent increases in supply costs."
This discount is worth approximately 100 euros per year on the gas contract and the same amount on the electricity contract, for a total of approximately 200 euros for those customers who choose both supplies.
“Plenitude will also evaluate any subsequent measures to support consumers
depending on the evolution of market scenarios”. Eni's discount is calculated on the basis of “a year's electricity expenditure excluding taxes” with the new offer “for a residential home with these characteristics (3kW, 2.000 kWh/year) and a year's gas expenditure for a typical Plenitude customer (600 Smc/year)”.
