Presented at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, "Un bon petit soldat," the Italian actress plays a dedicated corporate executive who becomes head of human resources for a large company and discovers a host of distorted dynamics.
The Italian actress said: “In my opinion, the film depicts a system and has the courage to depict this sick system, placing a female character at the center, and this seemed very important to me because, beyond the radical nature of the form, it seems to me to be a film that has a very important political value.” Brizé has often depicted the world of work, in films such as “The Law of the Market,” “At War” or “Another World,” always starring Vincent Lindon.
With "Un bon petit soldat" he wanted to focus his lens on a woman, as he himself explained: "The mechanism of voluntary slavery within a very brutal system interested me greatly. The most important thing for me, however, was to tell the story of how a woman obeys the orders of a very chauvinistic and patriarchal system.
