Alpitour World: Employees become "antennas" of innovation.

Rimini, October 19 (askanews) – AlpiGPT, an internal artificial intelligence platform for consulting company information and data, and digital agents that support the management of customer requests and operational processes. These are some of the tools developed by Alpitour World through AInfinity, its innovation unit. At the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, the tourism group took stock of its first year of operations. "One year after the launch of AI Infinity, Alpitour World's innovation unit, right here at TTG Next, we have managed to involve more than 40 colleagues in initiatives that have seen them work alongside startups to generate new ideas and bring value to all of the group's divisions," explains Francesco Ciuccarelli, Chief Innovation Officer of Alpitour World. The new phase of the project involves closer collaboration between technological innovation and human resources.

With the Innovation Agents program, a group of employees from various company areas participated in a training and experimentation program. Among the issues addressed were internal communication and the growing demand for travel customization. "It's not just about teaching people how to use new technologies, but about rethinking and redesigning their way of working," says Anastasia Curzi, People Development at Alpitour World. The program involved participants in workshops and activities dedicated to solving business problems.

The goal is to transfer the acquired skills into everyday practice, even outside of the groups directly involved in technology. Alessandra Tossut is one of the employees who followed the program. "I probably used to associate innovation only with the creation of new ideas," says Alessandra Tossut, Innovation Agent. "This program has made me realize that innovation is actually also about changing the way you see things, so you have to stop, ask questions, and try to find an alternative solution to the most immediate one." The Innovation Agents' experience will continue within the various company departments.

The group aims to spread its expertise beyond the initial twenty participants, gradually involving other colleagues. "For me, being an innovation agent," says Ilaria Pozzo, "means being a sort of antenna within the company, trying to spot problems early, having a method to solve them, and proposing a solution, even a small one, even an imperfect one. But above all, it means not keeping it to myself, but sharing this method with the team in the projects I work on every day. Because an idea alone remains an idea; it becomes change when we share it with our limbs and carry it forward together."
