Lionel Messi has said goodbye to Argentina. The former Barcelona ace, now at Inter Miami, played his final match for the Albiceleste last night in Italy, scoring from the penalty spot in a 3-0 win over Benin at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires. A few hours after receiving his people's final embrace, Messi wrote a long letter to his fans: "Yesterday was my last match and I already miss wearing the blue and white.
I know I made the right decision. It's been an incredible journey, full of joy and even a little sadness, but every step I've taken has been worth it."
And I have so much to say. It's impossible for me to express everything I feel in words or in a post.
