Italian Flavio Cobolli will not play the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris. The Roman tennis player announced it himself in a story on his Instagram profile. "I was really hoping to make it. Today, after media day, I tried to work out in the gym, but I'm still feeling a bit sore and I don't want to risk it.

That's why I decided not to play here in Paris. This city gave me the two most important weeks of my career, and coming back to play here would have meant a lot. Now let's focus on recovery. Thank you for always being there,” Cobolli wrote. 

The Italian had withdrawn from the Vienna tournament last week during the match against Matteo Berrettini, due to a muscle strain.

The Roman tennis player is in fifth place in the Race for qualification to the ATP Finals in Turin and will do everything he can to be there.
