It was May 27, 2025 when gas station attendant Nahid Miah was stabbed to death in Ardea (Rome), at the Tor San Lorenzo petrol station.

The perpetrator, Marco Adamo, 18 at the time, confessed to the crime after a week on the run: " He laughed at me, I stabbed him ." According to reports, Adamo had gone to the gas station to steal the proceeds, which amounted to 500 euros, when Miha allegedly resisted. A fight ensued, resulting in the gas station attendant being fatally wounded by a stab wound to the heart.

Miah was originally from Bangladesh and the father of two children.
