(Adnkronos) – Today, Friday, October 30, marks a day of general strikes and demonstrations across Italy. Despite the injunction signed by Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, the USB (Union of Workers' Unions) (USB) is continuing its protest and announcing that participating workers will still be on the move. Trains, planes, buses, and subways, as well as schools and healthcare services, are under surveillance.

Demonstrations are planned in over 40 squares, with thousands of people expected, especially in Rome and Milan.

In the capital, the main procession will depart from Piazza dei Cinquecento, while in Milan several gatherings and a route towards the northern suburbs have been announced.

Law enforcement is maintaining high levels of vigilance, with increased security measures and controls in the most sensitive areas. The Ministry of the Interior is constantly monitoring the situation and protecting the right to peaceful protest.
