"I don't need to explain to you what it means to revive democracy," she says, drawing applause from parliamentarians.
The visit comes amid heated negotiations over Brussels' reluctance to release billions of euros in EU funds – frozen during the Orbán era and a central plank of newly elected Prime Minister Péter Magyar's election campaign – until further reforms to combat corruption and protect the rule of law are implemented.
