Income ranking of deputies and senators for the year 2025

Find out who led the 2025 Parliament's wealth rankings, the richest leaders, and the pending declarations.

Every year, members of Parliament are required to file their tax returns. For the 2025 fiscal year, approximately half of the deputies and senators have already made their data public, revealing a ranking of veritable political millionaires . The leading figure was Andrea Di Giuseppe, a Fratelli d'Italia MP, who declared a total income of over €3,5 million , more than double the previous year's figure.

The undisputed leader of the ranking: Andrea Di Giuseppe

Andrea Di Giuseppe, born in Rome in 1968 and resident in Miami, reported €93.437 in income earned in Italy, while the remaining €3.574.709 was declared in the United States. His documents also show net tax of over €1,2 million.

Its assets derive mainly from its 50% stake in Trend Group, a company specializing in luxury mosaics for public and private buildings worldwide.

Other center-left millionaires

According to the same ranking, we find Lega senator Giulia Bongiorno, with an income of 2,6 million euros, and former minister Giulio Tremonti (FdI), just over 2 million.

Among party leaders, Maurizio Lupi (€225.351) and Lorenzo Cesa (€197.584) stand out for their highest earnings, while Bruno Tabacci (€130.617) remains in third place among the group leaders.

Profiles of government members

Among the ministers who have already filed their declarations, the richest is Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, with an income of €260.758. He is followed by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani (€186.591) and Youth Policies Minister Adolfo Urso (€158.907). Other government members, such as Gianmarco Mazzi (€125.952), Giancarlo Giorgetti (€99.623), and Luca Ciriani (€100.733), are below the €150 threshold.

Parliamentarians above half a million

Two parliamentarians stand out for having surpassed the €500 threshold: SVP Senator Meinhard Durnwalder (€599.885) and linguistic minority MP Manfred Schullian (€558.544). Just below him, Forza Italia MP Maurizio Casasco has an income of €488.857.

Pending disclosures and other curiosities

Not everyone has yet submitted their documentation: declarations from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini are missing, as are those from Giuseppe Conte, Angelo Bonelli, Matteo Renzi, and Riccardo Magi. Among the parliamentarians best known for real estate transactions, MP Anna Ascani purchased a house in Bergamo in 2025, while Senator Susanna Camusso (former secretary of the CGIL union) declared shares in Banca Etica worth €152.638.

The overview of parliamentarians' incomes for 2025 highlights a strong concentration of wealth among some center-right members, but also a variety of financial situations, from the millionaire to the very modest, with a minimum declared income of €46.071 for Northern League MP Manuela Maffioli.
