Lorenzo Giannuzzi: An extraordinary summer, but the season continues.

Cagliari, September 17 (askanews) – Summer is getting longer, not only due to climate change, but also due to the choices of tourism operators, who are increasingly working towards a deeper understanding of the season. One of the iconic destinations for tourism in Italy is Sardinia, and among the most famous properties is Forte Village in Santa Margherita di Pula.

"The summer," Lorenzo Giannuzzi, CEO and general manager of the resort, explained to askanews, "went very well, especially the July-August period, which was extraordinary, so we're very happy. Now there's a significant queue for October, and we hope to be open until early November." This decision is the product of a vision, of course, but it also represents an opportunity to change the outlook by meeting travelers' needs while simultaneously opening up new business opportunities.

"We have shown a path," he added, "and I hope many will follow us, so the demand could become very important." In a world where international tensions continue to grow, tourism risks being one of the most exposed sectors, which is why it's also important to be attractive to multiple markets. Despite the limitations of air travel that many have highlighted, Sardinia and Forte Village are also attracting guests from different continents.

"Aside from the geopolitical aspect," the CEO added, "and obviously we all hope for some positive developments soon, I see a growing trend: Americans are starting to discover Sardinia, Arab countries, and even South America, so we're really starting to have a much more cosmopolitan and diverse clientele, so this is obviously an extremely positive sign." Among the resort's many features is the Business School, an aspect Forte Village is proud of. "We pride ourselves on being able to offer a unique program, because the academic component can be replicated anywhere, even technically via audio links. What's missing in other places, however, is experiencing the daily life of an extraordinary resort with the best possible offerings in all sectors." The concept of tourism, in short, is changing to keep pace with the times and society, but also to try to meet needs we would normally have imagined in other areas. This can often be the key to success.
