(Adnkronos) – Chaos at Bayern Munich vs. PSG. Today, Wednesday, May 6, the Bavarians hosted the Parisians in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, a match also marked by controversial refereeing decisions. The first to protest at the Allianz Arena during the first half were the Germans, first demanding the sending off of Nuno Mendes and then demanding a penalty.
The first episode arrives at the 30th minute.
Nuno Mendes, who had already been booked for a tactical foul on Olise, intervened with his hand and stopped Bayern's counterattack. The German players and Kompany's bench immediately called for a second yellow card, resulting in the Portuguese full-back's dismissal. Referee Pinheiro, however, called for a previous foul and awarded a free kick to PSG, provoking the ire of the home team.
The atmosphere is still there two minutes later.
Vitinha clears the ball from inside the box but hits the outstretched arm of his teammate Joao Neves. Again, there are vehement protests from Bayern Munich, who were clamoring for a penalty, but the referee waves play on, ruling the contact inadvertent.
