(Adnkronos) – Sky is seeking compensation of up to €1,9 billion from TIM and DAZN for the Serie A football TV rights after the Antitrust Authority, in a ruling dated December 22, 2025 (published January 12, 2026), confirmed the "serious anti-competitive agreement" in the telco and pay-TV market. The AGCM ruling concerned the agreement between TIM and DAZN for the 2021-24 Serie A rights.
Following the first ruling by the AGCM (28 June 2023) and the appeals to the Lazio Regional Administrative Court (11 May 2024) and the Council of State (19 June 2025), at all levels of judgment the judges confirmed the existence of the infringement, caused by the famous “Deal Memo Distribution”, signed by Dazn and Tim in January 2021, with which the operator effectively “limited Dazn's ability to formulate offers potentially suitable to compete with those of one of the main players, such as TimVision”.
