Milan, November 4 (askanews) – Ten years of career, successes, and milestones. Ten years without rushing to discover all the versions of himself. Ten years after his debut on the scene, Rkomi has reclaimed the spotlight in his city. Against the backdrop of the same Panda he rode through the streets of Milan as a kid – and which now appears, upside down, on the cover of his A Milano EP and on stage – last night he inaugurated his residency at Fabrique with the first date, sold out like the ones on November 4th, 11th and 13th (the very last tickets are still available for the final date on November 24th). As promised, his setlist included only songs from his first projects Dasein Sollen, Io in Terra and Ossigeno EP, in addition of course to those from his latest EP released on October 9th, A Milano, which celebrates that very period. Alongside him on stage were his lifelong friend Ernia, the producer and mentor Night Skinny, co-star of a large section of the live show, the newcomers Promessa and Khodi and, surprisingly, Marracash, who first recognized his talent when he was still an emerging artist and who in 2017 had curated the artistic direction of his debut album Io in Terra. The evening was an opportunity A unique opportunity to hear rare and cult songs from his early repertoire live, including tracks that are rarely seen in his concerts. Rkomi is one of the iconic artists of the new Milanese scene, capable of moving generations of listeners thanks to his evocative and evocative poetry and his unique sound, poised between rap, trap, singer-songwriter and alt-pop.
Having become extremely famous in the mainstream scene thanks to the album Taxi Driver (which went 9 times platinum), with the A Milano Live project he strongly wanted to bring his origins on stage, celebrating the disruptive energy of the new musical trends that around 2016 changed the Italian music scene forever.
