Apparently Apple was the first to think of creating a touch screen device capable of "sending home" the classic digital keypad.
Moving towards a new way of conceiving communication between hardware and software.
Apparently, Nokia itself, way back in 2004, had already conceived a project similar to the iPhone for its cell phones. Former employee Ari Hakkarainen made this point in a statement regarding a project in the works at Nokia itself, which is also in the running for the crown of best smartphone device.
According to what the former employee himself pointed out , it seems that the engineers had patented a Nokia-branded device that also featured touchscreen technology and a display large enough to allow for the high-quality viewing of images and complex interfaces.
Paradoxically, this "iphone-like" never saw the light of day (out of the box) due to the very high design costs that made the project a loose cannon if it didn't work. However, it seems that Nokia is now bitterly regretting this choice. Given that, albeit with risky construction costs, the device launched on the market could really cause sparks and lead Nokia today to outclass Apple itself with its own weapon.
