The ninth edition of Financial Education Month will take place from November 1st to 30th , an initiative promoted by the Edufin Committee that lights up the national network with a series of free events, both in person and online.
The stated goal is to offer citizens and families the tools to manage their resources, plan for the future and make more informed economic decisions, under the slogan "Financial education: today for your tomorrow".
National program: seminars, webinars, and workshops for everyone
Throughout the month of November, hundreds of seminars , webinars , and workshops organized by schools, universities, associations, businesses, and other third-sector organizations will be available. The events, free and open to all, cover specific topics such as informed savings , investment strategies , new digital payments , and ways to recognize and combat financial fraud.
Each event has been designed to be accessible both in person, in conference rooms located throughout the area, and via online platforms, thus ensuring maximum accessibility.
Online calendar and how to participate
The complete calendar is available on the Edufin Committee portal, where you can filter events by date, type, and geographic location.
Registration is a simple click on a dedicated link, free of charge. Those attending in person are advised to arrive a few minutes early, while digital attendees must verify their connection and meet the technical requirements indicated on each event page. In both cases, educational materials and certificates of participation will be issued at the end of the sessions.
Vulnerable Targets and Central Themes of Financial Education
Particular attention is paid to groups considered more vulnerable, including women, low-income families, migrants, and people with disabilities. Specific courses have been developed for these recipients, simplifying the concepts of social security and insurance , including practical examples and clear language. The aim is to reduce the knowledge gap and provide tools for economic independence, so that each individual can face unexpected events and plan for the long term with greater confidence.
Focus on young people and integration in schools
The program dedicates a significant section to young people, integrating educational activities directly into school curricula. Participating schools offer educational games , interactive workshops, and guided discussions, all aimed at introducing the concepts of financial education as an integral part of civic education . This approach aims to foster a culture of saving and investing from a young age, preparing new generations to manage their finances responsibly in the future.
The Edufin Committee, currently chaired by Donato Masciandaro , brings together the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Guardia di Finanza, the Bank of Italy, Consob, Covip, Ivass, OCF, and the National Council of Consumers and Users. Thanks to this broad coalition, the November initiatives are supported by institutional resources and cross-sector expertise, thus ensuring the quality and widespread dissemination of the events throughout the country.
