Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale has been recorded in Panama. The USGS announced the news, explaining that the epicenter was located approximately 14 kilometers southwest of Pitaloza Arriba, Panama. A tsunami warning was issued following the quake.
The earthquake was also felt in Costa Rica and its duration was prolonged.
Local media reported that scenes of panic were reported in the capital. The USGS also issued a tsunami warning for the east coast of the
Pacific. In particular, the tsunami risk concerns the coasts of
Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El
El Salvador and Mexico.
