Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – On September 17, World Patient Safety Day, proclaimed by the WHO and dedicated this year to chronic diseases, Rome will host Safe-T 2026 – Saving Lives Together at Palazzo Rospigliosi. This event is promoted by Accurate, a Digit'Ed group company, with the participation of institutions, scientific societies, and pharmaceutical and biomedical companies. The focus of the day, according to a press release, will be the reform of the CME system: the new National CME 2026 Program recognizes clinical simulation as an independent training format for the first time, with the highest credit value in the entire system (three CME credits for each hour of training).
"Healthcare safety is a key strategic priority for the entire healthcare system," said Patrizia Angelotti, CEO of Accurate. Participants included Renato Loiero, advisor to the Prime Minister.
According to the WHO – the note reports – there are 134 million adverse events every year in low- and middle-income countries, clinical simulation can reduce the risk by up to 37%.
In 15 years, Accurate has trained over 25.000 professionals, created more than 1.000 CME courses, designed 100 simulation centers, and produced over 70 scientific publications. The event will also illustrate the path to the first Italian certifications dedicated to expert instructors in Medical Simulation and aesthetic physicians expert in Facial Ultrasound.
Among those expected are Luciano Ciocchetti, President of the One Health Inter-Parliamentary Group; Maria Rosaria Campitiello, Head of the Department of Prevention, Research and Health Emergencies; Gianfranco Nicoletti, President of the Health Research Section of the CTS, Ministry of Health; Lorena Martini, Director of the ECM Training Unit of Agenas; and Carlo Riccini, Director General of Farmindustria.
