Physical Italia: 100 contestants compete for €100 on Netflix.

A reality show that combines sport and entertainment: 100 contestants, including Olympic champions and celebrities, compete in extreme physical challenges to win a prize of 100 euros.

Netflix is about to launch Physical Italia: 100 to 1 , a reality show that promises to test the physical and mental limits of 100 contestants. Among them are professional athletes, former Olympic champions, and well-known faces from the entertainment and web world. The challenge will begin on September 11th with the first three episodes, followed by double weekly episodes until the finale on October 2nd, where the winner will receive a prize of €100.

The format, already popular in Korea, Mexico, Sweden, and the US, now arrives in Italy with a diverse cast and a challenge system that leaves no room for error. The show's unique feature is the blind challenges, where contestants don't know in advance what challenge they'll face or who they'll be competing against.

The cast: from Olympic champions to influencers

Among the participants, names like Tania Cagnotto, Yuri Chechi, and Federica Pellegrini, Olympic medalists ready to challenge each other in extreme physical tests, stand out. Alongside them, entertainment personalities like Elisabetta Canalis, Alvise Rigo, content creator Luis Sal , and former Big Brother contestants Paolo Masella and Giovanni Masiero . Also present are Mowgli, a dancer seen on Amici , and Claudio Sona with his partner Nicholas Cornia.

The cast is rounded out by professionals from various disciplines: from CrossFit judo and calisthenics champions to gymnasts, personal trainers, fitness influencers, and even a fire juggler. All united by a passion for physical well-being and athletic training.

How reality works

The competition begins in the Sala Dei Busti, where each competitor unveils a plaster cast of their body. The first preliminary round is already an extreme challenge: remaining suspended in a flexed position on a rail above a swimming pool. This test immediately narrows the field from 100 to 80, sparking a tense and intense selection process.

Blind challenges are the heart of the format. Contestants don't know in advance what challenge they'll face or who they'll be competing against, putting their brute strength, agility, speed, and physical endurance to the test. The selection process continues at a rapid pace until a single winner is crowned, the one who demonstrates the perfect physique.

The testimonies of the participants

Elisabetta Canalis recounted how the recordings took place: “The challenge was announced, and we had a couple of days to prepare: we tried to familiarize ourselves with running, wrestling, and every sport. Even risking injury . ” Luis Sal also shared some funny moments, such as those experienced in the lunchroom: “It can often seem like something is staged in this kind of show, but here it's all real. I wish they'd filmed us 24 hours a day. When we were in the lunchroom, for example, we looked like superheroes on their lunch break: all dressed the same, with the tension of pre- or post-race. Very nice . ”

Physical Italia: 100 to 1 presents itself as a competitive reality show built on physical challenges, ongoing selection, and a large and diverse cast. An unmissable event for sports and entertainment enthusiasts, where both body and mind will be put to the test in every episode.
