Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – A riot broke out in the Don Bosco prison in Pisa around 6:00 PM, with footage captured on TikTok by an inmate. The video, according to the Tirreno website, shows barricades set up by inmates in an attempt to block the way for law enforcement officers attempting to quell the unrest.
Tear gas was also reportedly fired in an attempt to calm the situation.
The images also show officers in riot gear, with shields and batons, on a stairway connecting the various floors, separated from the inmates by an iron gate.
The man broadcasting live on social media showed off electronic devices, blaming the protest on the discovery of the equipment inside some cells, believed to be bugging devices.
In the video, you can also hear the words "doctor" and "ambulance." The video, which had almost 15 views, has been cut.
