(Adnkronos) – "We've reached the fourth recipe together with Autogrill, in collaboration with the Qualivita Foundation and the protection consortia. Today we're talking about 'Piacenza 1714,' a sandwich that incorporates other PDO products, such as Asiago, and a PGI, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. This is a very important project because it puts Italian PDO and PGI products first, both in terms of quality and communication."

Mauro Rosati, director of the Qualivita Foundation, stated this today in Piacenza at the presentation of Autogrill's 'Origini Edition' sandwich, part of Avolta, the selection that celebrates PDO and PGI products, symbols of Italian agri-food excellence.

Rosati then added: “I believe Autogrill deserves great credit for believing in this strategy of promoting Made in Italy, giving space to protection consortia and also ensuring continuity within the points of sale of these DOP and IGP products, through a long-term project.”

"There's an ever-increasing need to talk about Italian products and engage with major distributors," he continues. "The combination of agriculture, agri-food, and major international players like Autogrill can only benefit Italy and our agriculture."
