(Adnkronos) – On the occasion of the celebrations for the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis, Farchioni 1780 has responded to the Umbria Region's appeal by donating oil to fuel the Votive Lamp burning on the Saint's tomb in the Basilica of Assisi. The initiative is part of the Franciscan celebrations that will culminate on October 4th and will feature the participation of the President of the Republic and the Presidents of the Italian Regions.
Farchioni 1780 also welcomed a delegation of 48 participants, including representatives of the Italian Caucus of California, senators and members of the California State Assembly, as well as representatives of the American business and association world, as part of the initiatives promoted by the twinning between San Francisco and Assisi.
Among the dignitaries present at the visit: California Senators Dave Cortese, Tom Umberg, Lena Gonzalez and Suzette Valladares, along with Assemblymembers Chris Ward, Tasha Boerner, Mike Fong, Lisa Calderon, Elizabeth Ortega and Heath Flora.
The delegation also included representatives of major California economic and institutional entities, including representatives from Google, Recology, California Life Sciences, and other organizations active in the fields of innovation, infrastructure, and institutional relations. The visit was an opportunity to present to Californian institutional and business representatives the Farchioni 1780 production model, based on the integration of agriculture, processing, and agri-food supply chain management.
The program included visits to the Farchioni Olii plant, the Mastri Birrai Umbri brewery, and the Terre de La Custodia winery, offering an overview of the main businesses operating in the Umbrian region. The meeting offered an opportunity to discuss agriculture, the valorization of agri-food production, and inter-regional relations, confirming the role that entrepreneurial experiences deeply rooted in their places of origin can play in international dialogue and in promoting Italian production culture.
