Bone fragility has significant health consequences. If we look at the impact of clinical events, we're talking about a staggering number of fractures and emergency room visits, expected to reach 700 cases in the next ten years. From the perspective of the healthcare system, the situation is even more difficult to sustain: we're already talking about costs of around 10 billion euros.

With the second edition of the 'Don't Break Them!' campaign, we want to raise awareness that aging doesn't necessarily mean greater fragility, whether in terms of bone or muscle weakness. Lifestyle and diet are very important, helping you stay healthy, active, and therefore independent for longer. We're talking about significant issues, because it's already estimated that 4 million people in Italy, mostly women, are affected by osteoporosis.

This is what Morena Sangiovanni, CEO of Italfarmaco Spa, said about the second edition of the traveling tour dedicated to musculoskeletal health. This national campaign, promoted by the pharmaceutical company, brings health information and culture outside of the doctor's office and directly into the squares of Italian cities.
