Von der Leyen's speech was very broad and generous, but the problem is that it lacks action: after nearly two and a half years in office, she's doing the exact opposite of what she said today. She talks about European security, but security isn't just military; she talks about European defense, achieving it through national rearmament and continuing to be subservient to Trump.
