(Adnkronos) – The tenth edition of the Innovation and Sustainability Forum, the annual Italian Communications event dedicated to sustainable innovation, regional development, the blue economy, and the relationship between businesses, institutions, and communities in transition processes, was held today, September 17, at the Teatro Salone Margherita in Naples. Promoted by the For Human Community Association, the Forum marked the second stage of Blue Green Week 2026, which opened on September 16 with the awards ceremony for the third edition of the Blue Green Economy Award and will conclude from September 18 to 20 with the B2B Forum Sailing Cup.

The day opened with institutional greetings from Councilor Valerio Di Pietro, Councilor for Digital Transition and Smart City / Municipality of Naples.

The Opening Talk Show, "Sustainability Voice: Institutions, Territories, and Transition: The Challenges of Those Who Govern Change," followed. Hosted by Simone Tani, Senior Fellow at the Luiss Guido Carli School of Governance, the show also featured speakers including Antonio Coviello, a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) and professor at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples; Benino Maddaluno, Director General of Asia Napoli; and Carlo Marfisi, Regional Director of ENAC.

The program continued by connecting experiences, policies, and sustainable innovation models. The projects awarded at the 2026 Blue Green Economy Award were presented as impactful cases and potential benchmarks for businesses, cities, and communities, during a session led by Tullia Cautiello, president of the For Human Community Association, and Assia Viola, delegate for Ferpi Campania.

During the other sessions, the discussion covered some of the key issues related to the sustainable transition—from the credibility of ESG communication and the relationship between declared and actual impact, to sustainable mobility and the valorization of local areas—involving representatives of businesses, institutions, associations, and stakeholders.

To complete the day of content, eight Thematic Roundtables were held behind closed doors.

The interviews in the "Beyond:" section—a space to give voice to perspectives, experiences, and issues that go beyond conventional sustainability narratives—were curated by Giovanni Sacchitelli. Speakers included Francesca De Rosa / RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana; Maria Vittoria Rava / Fondazione Francesca Rava / NPH Italia; Giorgio Giordani / Spencer & Lewis; and Elena Sofra / Ferrari Group.

At the heart of the collective reflection is a methodological idea: sustainability not as a function to be integrated into existing structures, but as a dimension already present in the organization, to be recognized and operationalized. An act of awareness—first personal, then civic—that cannot be separated from human action inside and outside of businesses. Support is, first and foremost, a responsibility exercised every day, in concrete choices: in governance, in communication, in relationships with the local area and with people. A commitment that is no longer optional—it is mandatory.

The Forum thus offered a day of discussion between different perspectives on sustainability, focusing on the relationship between governance, innovation, local areas, and impact, and the conditions necessary to translate the objectives of the transition into concrete choices and projects. The 2026 Innovation & Sustainability Forum was organized under the patronage of the City of Naples. The event was supported by the Azienda Napoletana Mobilità ANM as Official Partner, Adnkronos as Main Media Partner, nCore HR and Spods as Content Partners, Tinexta Infocert as Forum Partner, DiVita Tours as Association Partner, Canale Energia, and FASI.eu as Media Partners.
