The war between Russia and Ukraine has now been going on for over four and a half years, with aid for the Ukrainian army arriving from Europe and the United States. This aid has allowed the nation led by Zelensky and its soldiers to resist Russia's more powerful firepower, but the situation has recently shifted heavily towards the stronger army, namely Putin's.
Russia-Ukraine War, Witkoff at Putin's and Possible Trilateral Agreements
The war between Russia and Ukraine may have entered a decisive phase, at least this is what is filtering through from the United States of America, after Witkoff went to visit Putin in Moscow , and when speaking about Trump and the compassion he shows, he even went as far as to define Putin as compassionate.
This last comment has infuriated Democrats who are eagerly awaiting the midterm elections and who see Putin as a murderer.
President Trump also wanted to weigh in on the issue, saying he was available to be the deciding factor in future trilateral meetings, the first of which is scheduled for the next G20 summit in Miami in mid-December.
It is on this occasion that the leaders of Ukraine and Russia could sign a peace agreement, with America acting as a mediator.
Russia is sure the war is nearing its conclusion.
Russia, through its advisor Yuri Ushakov, has expressed its belief that the war is nearing its end. Ushakov spoke to the Vesti news service, as reported by the Agi news agency, as follows:
“I don’t know how close we are, but things are going in that direction ” – phrases that give us hope but at the same time are not a testimony to certainty and Putin ’s intention to focus on selling gold to finance the continuation of the conflict clashes with what his advisor declared.
The next few weeks will therefore be decisive in seeing how the conflict that has affected the world since February 2022 will continue.
