(Adnkronos) – "Futuro Nazionale will not run in the upcoming municipal elections and does not support local civic candidates or lists. This is what I established ahead of time in an internal circular. Anyone who these days tries to attribute to our party support, 'blessings,' or political backing to various candidates is doing so in bad faith, knowing they are lying." This was emphasized to AdnKronos by Roberto Vannacci, leader of Futuro Nazionale, denying press rumors that the general supports lists with candidates of the Islamic faith.
"In Francesco Storace's piece," the general says, referring to the article published in Il Tempo titled 'The Islamic candidate "blessed" by Vannacci emerges,' "it says I blessed two lists (Trecate che Voglio and 'Centrodestra Trecatese') that include two candidates of Islamic faith. However, this isn't the case, as the only list our local members have decided to vote for is called 'Futuro Trecatese,' which has no candidates of that religious faith."
"Moreover," adds the FN leader, "when the time comes, we will accept on our lists any Muslim, Hindu, Waldensian, Buddhist, or any foreigner who fully identifies with our principles, values, and ideals. But you will never see the National Future symbol next to a poster written in Arabic praising Allah.
We will never support anyone who wants to Islamize our society or distort it." Therefore, for Vannacci, Francesco Storace and a certain press "is a terrible blunder."
"My grandfather used to say," he concludes, "it's better to remain silent and risk looking foolish than to speak up and remove all doubt. Today, Storace and his colleagues have sounded the trumpets and have removed all doubts once and for all. We won't let these petty and unfounded attacks stop us because, unlike others, we are engaged in a serious and fundamental phase: building the party to restore Italy's respect throughout the world."
