Venice, May 6 (askanews) – Activists from the Ukrainian feminist collective Femen and the Russian punk band Pussy Riot demonstrated in front of the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale during the opening of the press previews. This is Russia's first participation in the Biennale since the start of the war in Ukraine. The Russian presence has sparked protests and political tensions, in a climate also marked by the resignation of the Biennale's international jury.
