Truck drivers are also protesting fuel prices in Palermo. "Fuel prices aren't adequate for our standard of living. We can't go on like this; there's no profit margin," commented Michele, one of the striking workers. "The protest is currently scheduled to last until October 22nd, but if we don't reach an agreement, we'll continue indefinitely until the warehouses are empty and even the trucks won't have the strength to deliver because there won't be any more goods."
