(Adnkronos) – "Water resilience is a fundamental and strategic issue, not only for water service management but also for the country's competitiveness." This was the message from Luis González, general manager of Acea Acqua, speaking at Ecomondo 2026, the event dedicated to the green and circular economy currently underway at the Rimini Fiera. "For us, it's a very simple concept: ensuring water quality and quantity even under changing conditions," González explained, emphasizing the challenges related not only to climate change but also to the evolution of infrastructure and technologies.
To address these challenges, Acea is focusing on strategic projects, alternative sources such as water reuse, and interconnection infrastructure, with the goal of making the service increasingly resilient. The group, the leading water operator in Italy, operates in nine Italian regions and Latin America, serving approximately 10 million people in Italy and the same number in Latin America.
