This was stated by Angelo Deiana, president of Confassociazioni and the ENIA Artificial Intelligence Observatory, speaking at the conference "Sovereign Data Centers – Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity," organized by Confassociazioni Digital in the new Parliamentary Groups Hall of the Chamber of Deputies.
The cost of energy, he emphasized, is certainly important, especially for energy-intensive companies, but the strategic issue also concerns the continuity of supplies.
“The strategic issue is not just cost, but strategic continuity: during peak times you need to have sufficient energy,” he explained.
The event dedicated to underground data centers will be just the first in a series of discussions that will also cover finance, insurance, energy costs, and infrastructure, with the aim of addressing the issue of integrating these resources into the corporate organization.
