Edufin Index 2026: Financial literacy still low, with only 4 out of 10 Italians passing the test.

The Alleanza Foundation, in memory of Mario Gasbarri, in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management, presented the fifth edition of the Edufin Index, the Observatory on Italians' financial and insurance awareness and behavior, in Rome. In 2026, the index stood at 56 points out of 100, below the passing threshold of 60, with 39% of Italians reaching or exceeding that level.

The research highlights differences between investors and non-investors and analyzes young people's relationship with family money. Since 2020, Alleanza Assicurazioni has engaged 550 people in over 10 educational events across the country.
