Michele Falcone, general manager of the CAP Group, said this at the conference "Aggregation and the Circular Economy: The New Challenges of Waste and Urban Hygiene," held at the Westin Palace in Milan. The conference brought together institutions, businesses, and industry experts to discuss closer collaboration among operators in the public waste and urban hygiene services.
“The CAP Group has been investing in the world of waste for years.
First, it did so by acquiring plants like Neutalia or building others like the one ZeroC is doing. Then it did so by integrating its own purification plants so they can receive liquid waste,” Falcone explains.
“The Lombardy Region has a characteristic that, unlike other regions, does not have optimal areas for waste.
This often means that there are very fragmented and heterogeneous situations that today, with the world changing and the economy certainly moving in a very fast direction, are no longer sufficient", he underlines.
"Even the collection needs to be of a minimum size, we're talking about at least 500 inhabitants. Therefore, using entities like CAP or other entities that can encourage municipalities to join forces is a challenge we must overcome so that the Lombardy Region is ready for future challenges as well," concludes the general manager of the CAP Group.
