(Adnkronos) – “We were filled with joy and happiness when they told us the children could spend the weekend at home. So much joy.” This is how Nathan Trevallion, interviewed by Bruno Vespa on Cinque minuti, described how he and his wife, Catherine, experienced their children's return home, albeit temporarily, after 11 months of separation.
“When we went to the group home on Friday afternoon,” Nathan added, “and told the children that they would have the opportunity to go home, they were really excited.”
Retracing the weekend's highlights, he said: "On Friday, we spent the evening at the Town Hall; we all did our homework together. Then we read some books and spent some time together. Then we all went to bed with so much joy and happiness."
The next day, upon awakening, the family moved to the house in the woods, as required by the court, which had allowed the couple to spend the daytime hours there: “The children were able to play with the animals, they went for a horse ride, my daughter on a donkey.
And the animals were also very happy to play with the children. Everything was very joyful,” she concluded.
