Jannik Sinner sent a video message to the UN during the "Multiply Possibility" event at the UN Headquarters. The world number one tennis player announced his foundation's support for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), making a heartfelt appeal to ensure access to education for underprivileged children: "I want to thank Italy and Nigeria for organizing this event.
Two countries on two continents, united by the shared belief that every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and build a bright future. When nations unite in this commitment, they send a powerful message to the world. That's how real change happens.
The 25-year-old from South Tyrol also talked about his childhood.
“Growing up in a tiny town in northern Italy, I was very fortunate. I had incredible teachers, a supportive family, and the opportunity to pursue my dreams, but millions of children around the world aren't afforded the same opportunity. More than 270 million children still lack access to a classroom, a teacher, a safe school, or an environment that fosters their learning and growth.
And it's not because these children lack talent or determination. It's because they've been denied the opportunities they deserve."
