(Adnkronos) –
The second phase of AX Factor 2026 selections begins. Bootcamps begin today, Thursday, October 1st, on Sky and streaming on Now. After a long parade of artists brimming with expectations and dreams during the auditions, the final selection process for the official teams is starting to close. These teams will then be at the center of the live shows in the Sky Original show produced by Fremantle.
Before the jury composed of Francesco Gabbani, Irama, Jake La Furia, and Paola Iezzi, all four sitting together at the table, those who passed the first stage will return to be heard again and, possibly, to reveal a new side of themselves.
Behind the scenes at the Allianz Cloud, Giorgia was there to accompany the artists on this new journey: she was responsible for leading the evening and, above all, encouraging the kids every step of the way before they reached the stage.
For all aspiring contestants, the goal is crystal clear: to overcome the Bootcamp hurdle and access the Last Call, they will need to obtain absolute unanimity from the judges, in a simple, unequivocal, but also inexorable process.
The quartet at the table will express themselves only with cards: they'll turn over a green card if they want the artist to move forward; they'll use a red card if the decision is negative. If all four cards are green, the artist will advance to the Last Call; if, however, the jury is divided between those in favor and those against, a discussion and debate will ensue, with microphones turned on, in an attempt to reach an agreement.
If even after the confrontation there is at least one red card on the table, the artist will have to leave the stage.
The verdict will be final but could be overturned: each judge will in fact have at their disposal a very precious X Pass through which they can guarantee the artist on stage the passage to the next step in their team.
The X Pass could therefore be used to "invest" in a boy deemed worthy despite the initial apparent rejection by the table or to "steal" a talent from the other judges, with the desire therefore to be able to work together with him at all costs.
The two Bootcamp sessions will therefore be a crucial juncture for understanding the judges' strategies and plans, as well as the last time they'll be called upon to work together. Aspiring contestants who pass this stage will have access to the Last Calls, where they'll be divided into teams and judged individually and independently by their own judge. On that occasion, the ruthless mechanism of the three seats to be filled between one switch and the next will return. Once these are definitively filled, the official lineups will emerge, which Francesco, Irama, Jake, and Paola will bring to the Live Shows, starting Thursday, October 22nd.
How will the judges play their cards in these first Bootcamps? Will they already be using strategies? But above all: which artists will be able to access the Last Calls?
