The incident occurred at the bus terminal in Piazza Berlinguer, where the 48-year-old approached the two women, forcing one of them to perform sexual acts. The young woman, with the help of her friend, managed to break free, but the man continued to chase them into the station waiting room, attempting to steal their suitcases.
The intervention of the flying squad
Flying squad officers intervened promptly, arresting the attacker. The man was found to have a residence permit for subsidiary protection, issued by the Ravenna police headquarters and expired three months earlier. His irregular status further complicated the situation.
According to the reconstruction, the 48-year-old groped and performed obscene acts on the two minors, despite repeated requests to stop from both the girls and passers-by.
