(Adnkronos) – Passengers on a Flynas flight departing from Milan Malpensa and bound for Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia experienced moments of fear: yesterday, around 15:30 PM, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Rome Fiumicino Airport due to a bomb threat that, following all the necessary investigations, turned out to be false.
Sources at the Rome airport confirmed this to AdnKronos.
According to initial media reports, the alarm was raised after a disturbed passenger reported the presence of a bomb on board. Upon landing in Rome, the plane, carrying 83 passengers and 10 crew members, was met by law enforcement, who carried out all the required procedural checks, confirming that it was a false alarm.
All passengers were re-protected during the night, still bound for Jeddah.
